The [Printer] option determines which printer RIP-Queue will use to print your image.

 

To change the printer, click the down arrow and select the printer you want to use. Because most settings are printer specific, when you change the printer you should verify that the media, page size, resolutions, and other settings are correct.

 

NOTE: You can only change the printer in JobAn image coupled with RIP-Queue settings. Editor if Job Editor was opened independent of RIP-Queue. If Job Editor was run from RIP-Queue you cannot change the printer. 

The [Media] area specifies the media you want to use. The media is comprised of the [Media Group] and the [Media Name]. Because the [Media Name] is specific to the Media Configuration, choose the [Media Group] before choosing the [Media Name].

• Media Group - This option sets the type of media or ink setup that is in the printer.
• Media Name - This option sets the name or type of media (e.g., paper) that you want to use.

This option determines how the image is to be printed.

• Print ModeA Print Mode is an individual characterization of Ink, Media and Printer Settings. Print Modes can have any number of variables, intended for different output targets. Some examples of multiple print modes for the same media are: High Speed, Production, High Quality, and Ink Saving Modes. Print modes allow for multiple output conditions on the same material. - The [Print Mode] setting determines the resolution and dot pattern used when printing. [ResolutionThe number of dots available to represent graphic detail in a given area. On a computer screen, resolution is usually measured in pixels per inch (ppi). On a printer, the resolution is measured in dots per inch, or dpi. Halftone resolution measurements are in lines per inch, or LPI. See also Screen Ruling.] is the number of dots per inch (dpi) that the printer will use to print the image. Higher resolutions print higher quality images, but take slightly longer to process and print. The [DotA single element in the halftone printing process. In traditional halftone generation, dots vary in size to control the intensity of the printed color. In digital printing, the dot size is fixed by the print mechanism. Pattern] is the method by which the printer places the dots that make up an image.

The [Color ManagementDevice dependent Color Spaces RGB and CMYK are both referred to as device dependent color spaces because the colors defined in these spaces are intrinsically associated to the devices they are defined on.] option controls the type of color profile that is applied to the image. Choose the Color Management setting that best describes the type of output quality you desire. Click [Change Profiles] button to assign individual profiles or to add advanced profiles. Use Spot ColorA specific color or type applied to individual graphic items. Replacement Table

This option allows you to use colors from Named ColorThe attribute of visual experience that can be described using the dimensions of Hue, Saturation, and Brightness. Libraries such as PANTONE, HKS, RAL, [User Defined Colors], and [Print Mode Defined Colors] that are in the “Color Matching Table”. Set Spot Colors in your design files.in your design files. To use this option, check the box.

The [Source Image] area shows information about the original source image. These settings cannot be modified in Job Editor.

• Format - The[ Format] line shows the colorspace and sampling information of the source image.
• Resolution - The [Resolution] line shows the resolution of the source image.
• Size - The size of the source image is shown in the [Size] line.
• Pixels - The [Pixels] line displays the number of pixels (horizontally x vertically) found in the source image.
• File Size - The [File Size] shows the size in kilobytes of the source image file.

The [Contour Cutter Selection] drop-down menu list contains the names of all cutters or cutter families supported by RIP-Queue.

Select [By Printer] option is for use with printers that have an on-board cutter. When this option is selected, RIP-Queue will print the image and then immediately send the cut commands to the device. A cut file is not generated. For all other selections, a cut file is generated for CUT-ServerA computer that provides facilities to other computers on a local area network. Examples of servers include file servers, print servers, and mail servers.. CUT-Server is used to manage and send the cut

data to the specified cutting device.

• Preview Cut Path – This option shows cut paths as a pure magenta line in the job preview. By default, this box is checked.
